Dr. Caitriona Matthews, DVM graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009 with extensive practice experience across Florida, Georgia, and Virginia. She spearheaded Fear Free and Cat Friendly practice certifications at a dedicated feline clinic. Her core clinical interests include internal medicine, behavior, and advanced continuing education. She has served on the board of the Georgia Veterinary Medical Association and in local VMA leadership.

Originally from the South and now calling Mechanicsville, VA home, Dr. Matthews relocated with her husband and two children to be closer to family. She shares her home with rescue pups Dingo and Foxy and her sassy kitty Lord Tubbington. When not making house calls, she enjoys running, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.
